"i am a cat lover, & i love to run.
i'm sorry i'm thinking about cats again."
had an interesting discovery today.
by simply changing one word in the search bar in google images you go from seeing completely normal and appropriate pictures to gratuitous, objectifying, sexual ones. CRAZY right?! wanna know what the word i changed was? you’ll be shocked.
it was “GIRL.
here we have the search “school boy

and here we have the search “school girl

fascinating right?! here i am at work trying to find good stock photos for a brochure and i need pictures of school boys and girls.
truly incredible that i have to go out of my way to find appropriate pictures of girls at school.

"You painted a naked woman because you enjoyed looking at her, put a mirror in her hand and you called the painting “Vanity,” thus morally condemning the woman whose nakedness you had depicted for you own pleasure."

John Berger Ways of Seeing

#it’s okay to follow creepshots but when a celebrity’s nudes are leaked she’s a slut #it’s perfectly normal to watch objectifying porn but when a woman decides to film herself having sex she’s a whore #it’s alright for you to harass women on the street but when they approach you first it’s arrogance #it’s cool for you to fantasize about a woman who’s out of your league but when a woman you deem unattractive likes you you’re disgusted #no don’t worry you can make female bodies public property but when they discuss your masturbation habits you can be offended
